How many of you have migrated from SPL to SQ ??? (or the otherwise)

I'm in the SQL-->SQ stage right now.

I think thats a very very good analogy or metaphor or similie...they all confuse me and im not even sure if they are spelled right

analogy...and yea for me its sql...I would want a driver that get can loud but still maintain to sound good...its harder to do that than being stupid loud...

I started off small, but my setups keep getting louder and louder, so I guess you could say I am kind of the oppisite.

I spend more time in my car than my house...

I had loud. 14 speakers to include 6 10s in a reg cap Ford Ranger with 3 amps. It was a really loud daily driver. I totalled the truck.

By the time I got back in a situation where I could build a system again, I had grown up. Plain and simple. I matured out of wanting to attract attention to myself. Just like a lot of motorcycle people grow out of crotch rockets and start riding cruisers (I have one of each, and the sport bike is newer, but anyway), you just start doing different things as they get older and more mature. They realize the folly of their previous ways and come to value the things that were put in jeopardy by their old ways.

With car stereo the realization is that your hearing is precious and that loud music will trash it in a big hurry. You also find another use for the trunk or hatch (hauling stuff for the house or the kids) and don't have the time or money laying around to spare to swap out components that get killed while playing the music loud.
