how many miles would you drive on synthetic oil

Im on 35k miles since my last oil change. Is that bad?
ive talked in depth with a guy who does testing for mobil, they test their motors 100k miles without changing the oil( filter change every 15). they saw no premature engine wear //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

i change my syn oil every 3k. 4k if i'm lazy.

i'm pretty sure i can get by w/o having to change it for a longer amount of time being that i only have a stock civic. not like i'm trying to run 9secs on the 1/4mi.

I have a friend with a '98 tacoma 4cl 5 speed. He changed his every 50k miles.

Honestly, since I drive a wopping 15 miles max a week or less there is not really a reason for me to change my oil.

The biggest wear and tear is from start to the time it take the engine to get the oil out of the pan and up to the componets...so oil milage means diddly in my case.

Ill get it changed here soon...but not for a few more thousand miles.

I usually get rid of vehicles before they need an oil change....

We know

But on topic, we usually just run the castrol in our vehicles and change it every 3k, If it didnt cost so much we would run all amsoil in our vehicles. Amsoil is the siht //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

my truck i will not use synthetic....my truck has a high pressure oil pump so synthetic oil is to thin and a def NO NO

drag car every other time at the track so thats about every 10 miles lol

v6 camaro between 3-6k

When I run Mobile1 synthetic oil, I change it every 7k, oil filter and all. I never just change the filter out without putting new oil in. To me that is silly.

Regular oil changes every 4k, samething. I get free regular oil changes and get charged 15bucks for synthetic. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Yes, I do use regular most of the time, because I am a cheap bastard, lol!

Oh and my dad manages his own Midas, where I used to work back in the day, so that is why I get the incentives. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

how can syn. 10w30 be thinner than regular 10w30? if its thinner then its not 10w30.(just using 10w30 as an example)

i have a friend at work with an 800hp supra and it has a hi pressure pump andhe has been running synthetic in it now for over 3 years. the motor has allmost 50k miles now.
