Yea man that's the problem with racing especially hard core on tracks u tear eveything up real fast my step dad always told me stories about him ******* his transmission up on his old camaro. My 96 Talon has 200(ish) on this motor...to be honest that is a lot of trips down the track though bought time to rip it apart again.
Yea, that is the best and worst thing about racing. The worst story I have for the motor would be on a fresh rebuild in my dsm I went to the track, something some how was kicked up by tires..got into my timing belt/gears and broke the belt. DSM's have a 0 clearance engine....so my pistons and valves got into a fight //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gifYea man that's the problem with racing especially hard core on tracks u tear eveything up real fast my step dad always told me stories about him ******* his transmission up on his old camaro.
If you break a timing belt/chain, it doesn't matter what your clearances are, the valves and pistons are gonna say hello to each other. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifYea, that is the best and worst thing about racing.
