How many batteries?

Ok so i am basically ready to order my second MOFO15 and a second PA A2400DB. Now heres the clincher, If i were to hook up a battery to the amps, seprate from car battery, how many will I need? Will a single yellow top properly power the 2 PA A2400DB's? The amp will be at the rear seats and the battery/batteries in the trunk.

All I need to know is will I need two batteries? 1 for each amp or 1 for both amps?

Just get one Group 31D. That should be adequate. Also, look into a Battery Isolator.

well i don't plan on making this a second bat for the car, only a bat for the amps itself.

And you dont need a battery isolator.

They do about 1000w right?

I don't mind removing the batteries every month to charge it in the garage though, it's not a real biggy with me.

hmm, maybe i'll just get a yellow top and hook it up to one amp and hook the other amp to my orignal battery on my vehicle.

No way they do 1800w

the 3000's only do like 1500w at 12v

Get another battery and do + terminal to + terminal and - terminal to - terminal. Put a fuse on both sides of the + wire.

Yes. That will work. It acts as if your primary battery isn't there and the second battery gets fed by the alt. You will want to do the big3 too if you haven't and a battery isolater.

The amp - goes to the battery in back

Then a - wire from the battery in the back to the battery in the front

You do not need a battery isolator.
