i have two H/O alts but only two batteries but i will be adding more batteries for the new setup i am using and i was thinking why do we use all the batteries even though we have H/O alts ?

It is. You need capacity to keep up. Hence, more batteries.

right now i have 2 125ah batts in the back, a 55ah batt up front and a 200amp alt. keeps me right at 12.3 during long burps

2 5k amps powering two dc level5s for now but adding two more level 5s soon with addition of two more amps. i have been watching voltage at the amps and i guess i can see where i need to be with number of batteries but thought it would be interesting to see what other people say thanks

thats a good safe estimate for 1500-3k amps.

10k watts, I would do 8-10. This past season, I ran 6 batteries (not counting the stock) for my JBL Crown. Never had a problem.

i love the avitars you all have i reread my original post and i made it sound like i only have two batteries but i have two per alt. i am kind of new at the hi power end of car audio and thought maybe there was way to judge how many batteries i should be using. oh and i like the crxs too i was one of the top dogs in forza one with the crxs.
