How many amps for four subs?

Well my trunk is extremly wide and deep but its very shallow.. So space is limited to a point. But I've ran 2 Rockford fosgate punch hx2's in a sealed box for awhile. They were in a ported box tuned by my local shop but it didn't sound right to me. And I'm also 17 with other 16 n 17 year old friends.. So they love the low notes where everything shakes.. Didn't get that as much with the ported..
Two 12s in a GOOD, well designed ported box will shit all over 4 12s in a sealed box. I have 2 12s on 2500w (in a trunk, too) and the flex from low notes in ridiculous, it'll make quarters do flips in the cup holder. You'll never get that kind of output from a sealed box.

But definitely look at different subs and options. Maybe go with a single 15 in a ported box so you can buy a really nice woofer instead of multiple cheaper ones.

dont go to that shop for boxes anymore lol some guys on this site will build you ****** boxes that'll be waaay louder than local audio shops. Last audio shop i went to for a box quote, they wanted to charge 180 for a regular L vent with no 45s or double baffles and all the stuff needed. i laughed and walked out, they even said sundown is overrated and doesnt make power... hilarious.
