How many ac volts should I be getting.

I'm having some trouble with..... something in my truck. Its not teh HU, but the bass cuts out whenever I turn it up loud. The amp IS NOT mounted to the box. Just wondering how many volts I should be getting on my DMM on a 2 ohm load for a rated 3400 watts. My electrical is staying at a constant 13.7 at the second battery (stupid Dodge voltage control cpu thing). I think I'm doing something wrong with my math... Could this be the amp clipping possibly?

around 82volts. But I really really really really really really really doubt ur amp is suppose to put out 3400, u sure thats not the max rating? And also ratings arnt always correct specially if u bought a cheap amp.

Well, its one of the MA HK4000s that ScottieJ sold on here. I don't know if anyone has actual bench test results from these, but thats supposed to be the RMS rating for a 2 ohm load...
