How long does a recone from RE take?

^^^^ so true thats been dd's M/0 for a long time .... and I will say this again and then I'm done, I just dont know how you (not you per se, but PEOPLE) feel it's okay to send in equipment and wait month(s) or more for repairs?

Is this normal? Is that reasonable? I've only had to send in equipment once (ava 18) and it took about 1 month. I think I called once. Same thing with my atomic waited almost 1 month, and called once.

I would say a month is a long time for a recone. (how long does it take to recone? 1/2 hr?)

One person has been waiting 4 MONTHS to have there amp repaired and returned? DAYUM, and thats OK?....

Maybe I've been lucky, cause after the 1st 6-8 weeks I[m calling EVERY DAY... I dont care if I"m buggin them or not... They did'nt wait 6-8 weeks to get PAID. At the very LEAST they owe you an email or some type of update...

Anyway I"m done, problems been resolved, and this thread has been very informitive......

I say.... maybe you guys should stop breaking your SH%*@#*%.. then it doesn't need to be reconned. If they are reconning your RE subs for free then you should be thankful! Burnt coils are NOT covered under warranty! Neither are torn spiders! I have dealt with RE from the time of inception(2001 world finals) I have had nothing but a GREAT experience with them Scott and Dave(Terry when he ws there) were/are all great guys. I'm sure they are busy... after all it is the SUMMER when everyone and their brother is ordering/and or/bumpin' the isht out of and breaking their gear so it need to be fixed... give em' a break. PLUS maybe its time you learned how to do your own recones... not hard at all and you only have to wait for yur soft parts... glue it together and let it dry //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

Ryan

PS- Dave if you want me to do some Eastcoast recones for you guys for a faster turn around (Ohio instead of vegas) I gladly will.. Hit me up on my email.. maybe even just to say hi //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif ramaudio_inc@hotmail.com

^ I dont think anyone here was getting a free recone.

singlesubsetup, I agree with you to a point. I know what you mean, why should it take so long. And under ideal conditions it shouldn't or wouldn't. But I work in the manufacturing field (automated machinery) and I do deal with rework projects sometimes (machines that come in for rebuild). They always take a back seat to new orders if time becomes an issue. Most company's main business is new products, and they make very little if any profit on rework (we hate rebuild jobs at my work). Simply put, when time is tight, a company has to focus on their main business and make up the slack when they can. IMO the only problem with that is if they are not up-front with the customer about delivery time (knowing it will be late). Its just one of the headaches of a manufacturing type business.

And guess what? THATS okay... But man at least sometime withen a month someone should say hay we got it, were working on it give us some time that's my only point.

And to say "dont call here again, I mean it?" wow.... Like I said I've learned alot in this thread... If the dude is really buggin you how bout an email, "dude stop calling soo much were working on it".... or a pm, but to say "hay were on it DONT call here again I mean it..." //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif That just does'nt sound right but hay I don't know maybe it's just me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif maybe others like being talked to like that?... would kicker, jbl, mtx, be like that to a customer? *shrugs shoulders*

teamquakecelica, I didnt break it I bought it broke and I am paying my own money for it. Also I dont think I would ever want you working on my sub when I could get a person who actually works for RE reconing my sub.

So, did they offer you recone options, as far as how you wanted it rebuilt?

All I can say is that I've probably dealt with Dave more then anyone in this thread combined (ask the stupid ****er yourself), and I've never had a problem with him, or the company.

Hell, I remember when *someone* ::cough cough eDuh cough cough:: that runs his own company told me it would be impossible to get parts for a certain sub I've got sitting here, I asked Dave, and he told me he had the parts laying around...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
