How long does a recone from RE take?

Pretty much way off-topic but would I be able to run two viper 1200's on my XXX 15. I know the rms is 1600 but everyone says they can handle more. It would be for daily driving too.

 
i dont understand why everyone here loves RE so much and has such a hugh hard on for them. from what i have heard, it sounds like there customer service sucks poorly. then again, i have never owned an RE and there is the whole move that ive been hearing about since i got into caraudio. there are other companies out there and i have heard great things about there customer service too (soundspliter is a good example).
I've never had a problem with RE, and i've bought multiple subs from them.

In fact, i just sent in my SX to get a recone, and when i call i get answered right away, never have problems with shipping, and they treat me nice.

You would be better off sending that much power in a small sealed box. Going ported your going to find you don't need 2000+ watts to get it loud. One viper may be enough for a ported box. My Orion is perfectly enough for me...

So, anyone else been offered options on how they want their sub reconed? Seems like that would have been something to tell people when they call to see about it, before its sent.

And then the PSI feller isn't even going to appolgize for the misunderstanding..HRMM..i smell ridicilousness..I hope it doesn't ever come to me having to buy something RE..I don't care how **** good whatever they're selling is if their customer service sucks they aren't getting my money. I like to be treated how I treat others and that is just not excusable what they did to this gentlemen.

What's wrong with TeamPSI's comments. He said he tried calling the guy 4 times in a week. Try getting Alpine, RF or even JL Audio to do that for you, then tell us how lousy that comment was.

Oh, so of all the possibilities, you are assuming the RE representative is flat out lying. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif Forget the original poster could be lying (less likely), or there was a simple misunderstanding as to who was called (more likely), etc etc... nope its easier to assume PSI is just lying through his teeth (when he would have to know he'd be called on it if he were lying). I think some of you guys are a bit too quick to jump to conclusions. Demanding an apology from the guy for lying, give me a break. lol
 
Im guessing with the sub optinos, either a different VC setup because it was never stated what he wanted it reconed to, or a different spider setup, again because it was never stated.

I have had great CS with RE.

We just ordered 5 recones last week, friday, and they shipped out today.

It's not like they have telepathy and know that i'm calling and say "OHHHHH, Tommy is on the phone, he's loud!!! I'll help him out!!"

All of my dealings (and all the people i know who have bought from RE) have never had problems with anything.

Like audioholic said, try calling up ANY big company and ask to talk to someone about getting a sub fixed/finding out details on new products/etc. They will most likely have no idea what you are talking about.

And the whole recone thing......YOU HAVE AN XXX. You can get different coil options. He wanted to know setup you wanted. Geeez people, come on.

And my whole "being loud" crack was just a comment (notice the smilie afterwards). I talk to RE all the time and buy/push their products. They are nice to me because i do business with them, not bash them because they didn't do something quick enough. They are a VERY busy and SHORTHANDED company who are just trying to keep things together.

I still wonder what happened with Adire and the whole Brahma situation. People were waiting months and MONTHS for their fixed brahmas. You are getting your panties in a twist for much less.

Keep in contact with RE, talk to whoever you can and just be persistent.
