if your battery wont stay charged it can be the alt and or voltage regulator or even the battery...as for what this topic started out as batteries and alts work together and are designed to. they both aid in system power. if your system is boarder line power hungry it is dumb IMHO to neglect either one....

your system isnt doing the power you think it is because there isnt anyway for the real world #'s to fit.....it would take 120 amps at 13.5 v to get your 1300 watts.

true also, but im not a competitor so its kinda irrelevant if its not putting out every single watt at any given moment...just wanted to say that the stock batteries work fine if your power demands are within reason..mine are..

Anyways. The battery is fairly new.. Like 2 years maybe..

audiolife... Right now I have no amps installed... Everything has been out of my car for the past month.. So no, it is not "power hungry" ATM.

Alternators are NOT battery chargers and should never be used as such.
