correct. a decent battery will keep you from getting stranded somewhere in the winter though.id say the alt is way more important though, but thats just me ,..
as long as your ride starts strong in the mornings, and your lights dont dim to music all the time.......your good.I'll have to look into my current battery.. It's after market I know, but was installed by previous owner..

there you go its a 90A alternator, have you done the big 3? if not id do that in 0 gauge it should help if you dont think your battery is any good go to autozone and have them check it...its free, or you could buy a group 31 battery for the front,Here are the spec. of my battery...
CCA1- 850
CA/ MCA2- 1065
RC3 (min.)- 155
