How I lost my butt and gutt in a mere 6 months*pics*

I should have taken pics. I have been working out for 2 weeks now. I haven't noticed a weight change (but I wasn't trying).

I did notice I require a lot more sleep. I go to sleep at 9:30 or 10 now...instead of 1 or 2. I also have a lot more energy.

Here is a progressive picture over time:

looks like one of those discovery channel monkey evolution deals, lol but seriously great job! i weighed in at almost 290lbs but i went anorexic and lost 93lbs in almost 4 months. it was awful, i wouldnt eat for 2 weeks and if i did eat it was such a little amount it really had no affect. sadly my life style has changed and now im back up to 255 from 195. i joined http://www.crossfit.com and i really enjoy it. Im on the Zone diet and i try to work out at least 4 times a week. But with my schedule so tight now i can barely get enough time to wipe my own ***. Good luck i know the feeling is great!

Wow, I have yet to read this thread and your journal about what you did. I need to get back in shape. I'm 6'0" and 155 lbs, so I'm quite thin, but I have a gut that I've added and need to get back to being toned. I'm sure I can learn a bunch from your methods. Congratulations on your achievements.

I am 6' and 180....No gut really, but I am way out of shape. I can't even touch my toes.

You did it once and I am sure you can do it again.

I have a crazy schedule too! However, I make time for the gym. I get up at 430 am every morning, drive to the gym and am on the Elliptical at 5am. 45 minutes later I am done and on my way home. This is all before 6 am. Then in the evening I am back in the gym for my weight training. Sometimes it sux because I have to rush, but as my journal title states: "No Excuses". I have lived by this motto for 7 months now and I won't quit no matter what. I had the flu back in February. I missed an entire week of training. I got better and was back in the gym to do my thang.

I ate like shit too. Drank beer daily, goose and juice too. I would be lying if I told you that I dont miss boose, the wings, pizza, ribs, burgers ...all the good tasting foods. I do! In 7 months I've only had 5 cheat meals, a few beers and no liquour whatsoever. However, you can't eat this way and expect to change your appearance.

I eat about 80grams of fat per day and about 250 protein. Carbs have their own place and time during the day such as before and after a weight training session. So please dont make the same mistake many made back in the 90's when the "no fat" fad was "in". Your brain needs fat to function. Your body needs saturated fats to stimulate hormone growth and if you deprive it of that you will suffer. Cardio is good and resistance training is better. Just my .02 cents //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Hats off to you...your weight loss evolution may provoke quite a few members to hit the gym..they may not have the drastic results that you have BUT they will be working out which is healthier in the long run......it was so much easy to stay in shape in college while involved in sports lol
