I beleive this is a fair representation on how many of us feel, at one point or another, at one or another stage in life. We all share a common passion, whether your an accessory fanatic, hardcore competitor, or enthusiastic hobbyist, this whole way of living, driving, understanding can sometimes make you feel on top of the world, and sometimes make you feel burried 6 feet under. At this point, approximately 11 months into my mobile electronics "career", i'm fed up. Many of us, MANY OF US on this site withhold so much knowledge that can not be seen by the human eye, and would take literally days to explain to the common person. We are not given credit for it, rarely does it shine.
Not us, who keep our windows up and bass down in residentials, not us who can wire up basically any 12 volt electronic, NOT US who could repair an amp get credit, no not us. But the punks, they do. They are the ones that although we compete along national levels, and never once have played the subwoofer above 130 decibels within 1 mile of a house, makes our reputation of simply owning car audio products one of a "kid". Sure im a "kid", sure many of us ARE under the age of 18, but we are not kids. Those punks are the kids. I beleive my feelings will grow only with age, to the point to which I will feel weary about putting a subwoofer in my car at the age of 25 because I might be looked upon as one of those punk kids.
I could go on, but I just want to let all the ones on the forum with the knowledge and expirience that I hold you to the highest respect, and to the ones learning, you also. To the ones showing off, disrupting others and being total morons: stop. Become educated, understand why your speaker makes noise, understand why sparks fly when you touch that red and black wire together, and understand what you are doing to the reputation of car audio as we know it.
