How good are Digital Designs Woofers?

I have been a fan of car audio for a long time so when I had a opportunity to hear some Digital Designs in a SPL setup it sound pretty good the amp they were using was a powerbass,cheap amp.I hear many things about them from using a big enclosure to handling mad wattage.Is their design of the speakers 21st thinking?

I've wondered this myself. Their prices aren't listed on their website, and i hate to call up and find out they're too expensive for me. Makes me feel embarassed. Heh.

DD has been a main competitor in the car audio SPL world for many years now. By 21st thinking I assume you mean new technology. DD does offer some technologically advanced pieces, like the Z series of woofers, and the 9100's. While the 9500 series is more of a 'tried and true' design for them, as they have offered it in various forms for over a decade. Its success in the SPL lanes, the 9500 series, is easily DD's biggest reason for sharing as much success today, as a business, as they have.

They are extremely good woofers. And their amps are pretty efficient as well. I want to get some.

they **** overrated and overpriced. Pure spl, their the new kicker somewhat. It's just the new boner of this forum...pass on it....

Just playing......I really don't know but everyone seems to like them. If I could afford them I might buy some. They seem to hit crazy numbers tho

you can find then all over the classifieds they quite popular so you can find all models for sale second hand

DD is probly the best brand around imo, i cant think of another sub that can put me in the 149 range in a trunk with only one sub than my 9515

Ill always go DD if im looking for an SPL sub or a really loud daily

just dont ever ship anything to them and expect to see it within a reasonable amount of time....or ever.
