I wanted one of those Grand Prix's like the original poster has soooo bad when i was 15.
At least youre doing something unique and cool to your car, instead of letting it go to hell, selling it, and being like the rest of the older Prix's around here, with like 8 white trash fat ppl crammed in it, the rear socks saggin and shit.
Cool! Thanks for the compliments!
And yea, unfortunately a large, vast majority of older W-Body (more so GP's) are worn to hell, horrid paint, dents all over, 3 different style wheels, and at least 7 people inside of the coupe.
dont mean to be negative man, but please dont do that to your car. i respect almost anyone who works hard on their car, other than said civic/integra driving wifebeater wearing douchebags, which i why i feel like i gotta plead with ya here.
if you havent already put that on your hood, dont. take that money you have for the paint, and put it into the motor. i mean honestly, its an old school grand prix. as far as cosmetics, with that car i'd probably stop at rims, and possibly a nice, low spoiler. then make it run 10s
sleepers kick ***, and that hood will severely decrease your sleeper factor. i'd be impressed if i got my doors blown off by a stock lookin gp, but i'd be laughing at you at the same time with that scoop.
Laugh if you will.
The motor that i'm finishing has quite a bit of good stuff in it. Plenty has gone into it.
Not only the motor, but a partially custom suspension.
For any of you familiar with the old school W's, they have the rear transverse leaf spring (single spring spanning from left to right on the knuckles). I had one CUSTOM MADE that's stiffer than all hell. You could stick 8 people in the rear and by looking on the outside, you'd not even know it. It's so stiff it's awesome.
Then the front has Intrax springs, and the KYB GR-2's all around. MOOG Polyurethane leafspring bushings, Energy Suspension Poly front FE3 sway bar bushings.
The next thing for my suspension is the BMR Fabrication kit (fully adjustable lateral arms, tubular trailing arms, all with poly bushings).
What i'm wanting to do with my driveline is take the front K-frame and the rear knuckles off a 94-96 GP and put'em on the 92. Simple reason being there is a 13" all around Big Brake upgrade kit for the 94-96. The knuckles are interchangeable, so i'm going for that.
Then i just finished up my SS brake line install with new pads/rotors that'll last until i get the 13" upgrade on it.
