How do you think it's going to look?

just out of curiosity, who's the maker of that paint, and what's the color/code for it? that looks something simlar to what i'm putting on my 79 beetle once i finish the body mods...

Actually i'm not too big on the pins myself...however they do serve a puprose. All the closing mechanism pieces were removed from the hood (like the pull-cable inside, the latch from the outside, etc) for a good reason.

Since i've got no door handles, there's an emergency release. I did not at all trust the emergency release being available from any part of the outside of the car. I don't care how hidden it was, everycar that has hands-free entry has an emergency release..(unless you're just that stupid) and so once people see i have no handles, well they'll know i have an emergency release. I just have spent too much cash and too much shit on this car to have someone be able to get into it. I also just feel better knowing that it'll be sealed. There will be locks on those pins as well, not just slider pins.

I'm going out to the body shop today to retreive some of my stuff i left there (CV axels, radiator, etc etc)

I'll get you the paint code/maker. I had it memorized, but that **** car was in the shop so long!

I'll have you the code tonight hopefully man. If not tomorrow for sure.

Yes, i'm aware there are two different kinds of wheels on there and the front end is all jacked up. The engine/****** are out, so that explains the 4x4 look.

Also the wheels, the ones on the front were the original, but they were gold, so as you can see i changed them up a little bit. However when we got the car from the shop, all the wheels weren't done yet, so i grabbed two from my parts car.

I don't think the hoodscoop looks too bad, but I do not like those cars either. I think the hood pins are a little too much tho.

I have seen some funky stuff around here, such as somebody putting a hoodscoop that I could fit a 3 year old inside of on a old chevy S10, which he then painted the whole truck a flat yellow with blue and white checked flag graphics up the side.

I know alot of people will hate me for saying this, but I kind of like the ricer look. Only few cars can pull it off tho, and I don't think the ricer look should try to put onto an american car. Ricers come from asia IMO.

Form obviously precedes function in this instance //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
somewhat, but not completely.

The engine that i'm building up, and being that the car is FWD, it'll work well.

The engine is a Series II 3.8L, and again, since it's FWD, the throttle body faces the driver side fender. It comes out a little ways, in which the turbo will sit. There's limited space there, so there's another bend and the intake filter/cone will side parallel with the radiator, directly in front of the engine, and directly below/in front of the scoops. Also, the hood was chopped for the scoops to sit on, so air passes through and exits the back side. It's not like i just stuck lund scoops on there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

On the back it's wide open, so air will pass through and will let the hot air escape

Lookin good bro, just not really what I prefer. I would probably have bagged it, painted it black, tinted it, and get er tuckin some 19's.

That'll be a bad *** car when your done if you do a turbo 3.8, just be careful and dont wreck it lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

haha, thanks man! Yea i was thinking about bags, but, yet again, nobody makes them for my car. I think there are 1, MAYBE 2 guys out there running one-off setups that run them 3-4G's. Shit, 4G's, that's my turbo 3.8 build!!

It is lowered though, just can't see in that pic cuz the engine isn't there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif

I did lowering last summer, you can't even run your hand between the wheel and the fender/flare, there's no gap there. Still workin on some rims, debating 18's or 19's, would just have to see it on there pending the style that i get!

was thinking somethin along these lines
