how do you strip 4 ga. wire?

i just use some large pliers and some elbow grease but im a big guy some of the smaller fellers might not have enough ummphffff

I have some crimpers that go all the way to 1/0 gauge. I got them from work, I dont know what company makes them.

to do my 1/0 my uncle had this little tool that you place the wire w/ crimp on it in.. it's like a V, then you hit it with a hammer. same concept as the screwdriver + hammer.

i use my teeth on 8gauge and smaller

4gauge i use a razor blade, then my teeth to get any small bits of insulation i missed. i never cut all the way down to the wire w/ the razor blade (and i'm a professional installer)
