How do I know what fuse I need

Is there a standard calculation which tells me what fuse I need for my car system.

Post up the size wire you are using and how many watts total your amps will be pulling and I'll tell you what size fuse you need.

for the puse at the battery add up all the fuses on your amp and for the ones at the distribution block a little more the the sum up of the fuses on a particular amp

You use a fuse to protect your wire.
