How do I hook up Speakers to my MRP-F300 Alpine amp

Alright, I need some help in laymans terms. I have made my decison on an amp. I purchased an Alpine MRP-F300 amp. I also have one set of 4 ohm speakers and one set of Infinity Kappas that are 2 ohm that I would like to hook up to this amp. I know how to hook up the 4 ohm speakers (the positive and negative for each speaker needs to go to the postive and negative terminals on seperate channels of the amp). My delima is how do I hook up the Kappa's since they are rated at 2 ohms. Remember, layman's terms please. In the words of Forrest Gump "I'm not a very smart man" when it comes to figuring out ohm ratings and making them compatible to the amp. Thanks for your help in advance.

I'm not familiar with the particulars of that amp, is it 2 or 4 channel? If it's 2 channel, you basically can't use the 2 ohm speakers and the 4 ohm speakers at the same time without some creative wiring (resistor inline with the 2 ohm speakers and then n parallel with the 4 ohm speaker). If it's a 4 channel, simply connect the 2 ohm speakers to the other set of channels just like you did with the 4 ohm speakers.

It is a 4 channel amp. Since the Kappas are 2 ohm is there a need to take the positive from one speaker to the postive of channel 3 and the negative of the other speaker to the negative of channel four and then run a wire between the - from one speaker to the + of the other speaker. I think that is called running them in series. Not sure if that is needed or not. If I can get away with just hooking + to + and - to - for each of the kappas that is great, but didn't want to do it and fry something.

Just hook them up normally. The amp is 2-ohm stable so you don't need to do anything special. There's nothing magical about 2ohms.
