ok i think its time for a new box. i designed a 8 cubic foot one tuned to 35hz for my 2 sx 15's. this time the port is gonna be runnin along the bottom of the box with the subs firing up. well my port is long enough that its gonna run to the back then its gonna turn 90 degrees and go up. my question is...how do i brace the box? how am i suppose to run braces up and down from the top of the box to the bottom of the box with the port there? or is it ok to just brace it to the port?

use 1 inch diameter wooden dowels, they hardly affect the the Vb. it would be fine to brace it to the port.
right. i know about the dowel part. but im wondering about actually bracing it. cause i would think the bracing it to the box would be better for some reason but if bracing to the port is good too then ill do that. anyone else have any insight?
