How clean is your car?

Wax is outdated. Do yourself a favor and buy yourself some nice automotive paint sealant. If the car is garaged, the sealant will effectively protect the paint for 8 months or more. You're lucky if your wax lasts a month, even if its garaged.

Seal the car twice a year, wax four times a year. Your car's paint surface will never come into contact with the environment. And never, ever take your car to the car wash if you care about the paint, including brush-less car washes.

but i keep it clean on the inside, VWs interiors are made of high quality shit, so a half hour or so of cleaning, and it looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor, even with 85k on it.

i usually try and wash it once or twice a week.

the winter sucks though, as soon as you wash the salt off its caked again in a day or so.

98 grand marquis: ever since it started rusting 2 years ago i've washed it maybe 5 times.

97 lincoln mark viii: wash it weekly, wax 1-2 a year. Its the summer car so it only gets driven maybe 3k a year. Unemployed it gets driven between 1-2k.
