How can I watch my voltage?

Ok, so my truck has no voltage meter on the dash...and I'd rather be able to keep an eye on it just in case. Is there a meter/gauge etc that I can install to keep an eye on it? I don't want a gauge that's gonna be tacky, it has to be able to be mounted in a place completely out of the way.

In my opinion, all that is needed, for car audio only, (the basic ones) is an digital amperage meter and a voltage meter. Again it is ONLY for basic monitoring.

You can get a volt meter from like AutoMeter or you can go the cheap route and get one from Autozone.

the 9855 only shows voltage when hooked up to a alpine amp

Not only does it have to be hooked up to an alpine amp...you need like a 60 dollar cable to hook up the amp-link function...

my 7700 pioneer shows my trucks voltage. dosnt matter what its hooked up to just reads the voltage coming in from your power wire. otherwise stinger, tsunami,phoenix gold and a bunch of other companies make a volt meter that you can install inside your car to read the voltage. all you have to do is connect some power source that comes in from your battery/alt/or starter
