so i shud just grab another type R eh .. well im running this one at 4ohms .. getting around 800 rms from the JBL amp .. think i should stick with this amp and add another one .. then it'll configure them at 2ohms .. its 2ohm stable with 1114 rms ..

Sell that amp, then use the money toward a hcca5000.
Wheres the cheapest i can find one of those for? .. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

UPS only pays .. 10 bucks an hour .. those ****s ..

Prolly ebay, look around the classifieds on here and see if you can find one.

I disagree with you, my friend.

I would go with 2 SX 12"s or 15"s, each off of a nine.1. Each SX will be receiving about 1400-1500 watts, which will definitely make them slam in RE's recommended enclosures.

If you're looking for SPL with some SQ, then this is definitely the right route to go. I would only do the R's if you're looking for like 50/50ish.

$600 is a great deal for two 9.1's. I would jump on that. I don't want to start a flame war, but a lot of people here will dissuade you from eD amps because they have a personal grudge against the company and the owner. I would definitely give them a try if I were you; they're powerful, run pretty cool, and I haven't had a single reliability issue.

Edit: The Hcca5000 does what, 2500 X 1 @ 1 ohm @ 13.8V? That would actually match with a pair of SX's nicely as well, but I would still give the edge to eD.

2 SX's would be either 2 ohms or .5

i would go SX's, i had one and it was pretty nice

the difference between the 12 and 15 subs is going to be like 3-4lbs, prlly less, although the box will weigh a little more, it would be a good bit louder

if you could find 2 12.1, that would be a good setup, or maybe instead of the 2 9.1s, get a IA 20.1 and run it at .5, would deff give the SX's some power

ohhh....

**didn't know they don't come in D4**

Then for sure do the two 9.1's at 1 ohm per. You'll be happy. Do the 2 15"s.

But for the money you are going to spend sticking with the R's would be way easier. You can pick up another R like ~125 then sell your amp and lay down another couple hundo on a hcca5000. Rather than buying two SX's and another amp. They are nice subs I had one not too long ago but when handling that power they can definately smell a bit, they dont have the same quality as the R's and they definately dont get as low as the R's can.

Im just voicing my opinion off of the sound that I like, I just prefer the R's over the SX's. Everyones different the only way to know what you like is to try out some shit and see what you like best. I'm just shooting you ideas that will save you some paper $$$$$ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif.

one 2500d or hcca5000 at 0.5 ohm ont he two sx's would slam. i believe you can get the new 2500d for $600
The new HCCA5000's are $500 new on ebay now. I'd go with those instead of the 2 nine.1s. Only 1 amp, pushes more power, cheaper, can go lower. You will need an electrical upgrade though.
