Thats pretty sweet man. I have the Z-560s, the sub is amazingly good for an 8" but i want to see if i can "upgrade" it......The Z680 is the new 5.1 setup right? How did you get the cover off the front? I will put some excursion pr0N if i can get that cover off.....

its held with glue at the 12 o clock, 4, 6, and 9 o clock points on my 680s

the 680s are the 5.1's yes, new no, they have been around for a little while, atleast a year i think?

i have a few other videos, but that one right htere is the only one i have of it with the grill off

edit: it has more excursion than was being demonstrated in that video, when i get a chance and remember to ill make a clip of it doing a low tone so it maxes out

Yeah I use them as monitors in my extremely small home production studio.....I noticed that Alesis (a huge music eqipment maker) has re-branded the Z-680s as a 5.1 Studio Monitor set, so I would hold them to be pretty high quality. I would have never bought any Logitech speakers until I heard the Z-560s, and it truly changed my mind of what computer audio can be. How much would you be willing to sell your 680s for, dont try to blow them yet!!! Do they have the built in Digital Decoder? Do you have the "hiss" problem that I have read about?

Yeah I got the 560's too. They are darn good for computer speakers. Im thinkin about takin the 8" out and putting a RE 8 in there instead. Just gotta make sure the cut out isnt to large.

BTW does anyone know what the approx tuning on the box is? Id really like to see if that RE 8 will glow in there.

Also have any of you guys pulled the sub out and checked its impedence? Im assuming its SVC 4ohm which would make puttin an RE 8 in there easier.

i havent checked it, but it doesnt say on there either, where it normally would it just has "logitech" written

Yeah I think im going to pop mine out check the cutout, mounting depth, take the DVOM to the coils and call logitech to find out the port tuning on it. But I have this odd feeling I will get someone at logitech that has no clue what it is.

probably... if you can, pop out the port, fill it with water to see how much volume it has, its curved, so eh lol and do some math

edit: btw i thought the re8s came in something like SVC 2 and dual 4 at the moment?

I think the older ones were svc 4ohm. Just try to pick a used one up if that is the case. If not ill see if RE can make a custom one for me.

Got of the phone with adire a few minutes ago. The koda 8 is a svc 4ohm. I might end up taking that route granted it can drop in easy.

the RE8's are DVC 4 ohm, the Koda8 is SVC 4 ohm.

If you changed the impedance you might fry it (the amp)
