I'd be thinking of it was someone that went into your house, it could've been a friend of a friend ya know. or if it was a random decision for the thieves, then they got lucky as hell.

yeah i called them...and they didnt take fingerprints, just asked me some questions and took a statement.

Sorry to hear that.... I really hate people like that. I've had someone break into my car, and it's definatly not fun. I just don't understand how people can stoop so low... Not much you can do now but learn from it.

and just fyi, if you want the cops to do something, you have to be firm and tell them to take fingerprints, pictures, come out to your house (when your car was broken into), etc. otherwise they won't offer to do it (depending on situation). (all they did was take the report over the phone when my truck was broken into). just a little tip from someone i knew that was a 911 phone operator.

****, yeah dogs are best alarm, so many people are afraid of dogs it's crazy. i'll say i've broke into a few cars and couple houses when i was younger(atleast 10years ago) and really it only lasted for like 1 week then i realized it was retarded. never got anything really. cops are lame, someone came in my house and tried to grab my kid and they didn't do anything cept take statement from wife and left.

I think if they went right for the CA, then it was certainly someone you know. Less likely if the whole house was trashed/rummaged thru.

I have to agree dogs are the best security system. I always say that if someone can get into my house and take anything they earned that shit and desrve it more than i do.

I have a great dane and a german shep. I used to have a pit, but he was just too hyper so i gave him to my brother.
