am I the only one wondering WHY OP wants to pay on his few furniture for 30 years? Do you realize how much you will be paying back on that 5k???????? Why not mortgage the home, then get a 5 year personal loan for the furniture and stuff?

Not too shabby for a double wide. I was thinking about this route as well and as far as getting a brand new DW and go find some land here in Ohio as some areas can be found cheap. Most double wides for sale are in trailer parks and not feeling that at all.

I did find a nice one for 45k sitting off a lake and had 2500 sqft and had 2 bathrrooms and 4 big arse bedrooms.

I am trying to see about a house first though. Still rather go that route me thinks.

I would rather have a new DW than a old home that is in bad shape. Usually the 2 can be purchased for around the same price.

I have looked into the buying a DW as well, seems like a great starter home for a young person, and who cares if it's standing in 30 years, I would plan to move in 5-7 years anyway....
