Hooking Up A Battery In The Trunk Plz Help

unless your battery in the front is the same battery, you want to get a battery isolator. run a cable from the alternator to the isolator and the isolator a cable to each battery positive.

unless your into spl competition that dont use the isolator, youll lose precious volts;)

Honestly, I think you would be fine with the Big 3 upgrade. With PG 800.1, really don't think I'd waste my time on 2nd battery unless you plan an upgrade in near future. But anyways, I ran a yellowtop to my trunk. Used 0 gauge from (+) positive terminal of starting battery to (+) positive terminal of yellow top. O guage from neg terminal (-) of yellowtop to chassis ground (make sure bare metal). Didn't use an isolator, but did fuse it with 100A fuse. Haven't had any issues with one draining the other. Blew my 100A fuse the other day, bout it. Extra battery really isn't gonna help that much without upgrading alternator. It will just put more strain on your stock charging system.

yeah i hear you but im selling off the phoenix golds this summer and i plan on buying a 2500.1 kicker amp and 2 jl W 7's 12 inch subs lol so i think ill need an extra battery anyways lol.

I was told i can use my o gauge woring kit (thats comming in the mail soon) and wire it to an isolater if tahts how u spell it and id be able to hook up both batterys is that correct. lmk thank you
