I work for my father at his "auto-spa" and he is remodeling the whole place. Part of the remodel is a new multitude of profit centers. One of which is going to be Pro Audio equipment. My father wants to sell the BEST.

For some reason he is hooked on Earthquake subs/speakers/amps, Kenwood Decks, Eclipse decks, and Pro Box(proboxrocks.com).

He says he doesnt want to have a million different lines of products. But honestly earthquake has not really impressed me yet. Alot of ther material does not include RMS(on amps or subs) which leads me to believe its crappy. They dont even include it on dealer information.

I really do not believe earthquake has any think to properly match JL's 12w7's or RockforFosgates t212d2.

can anyone help me out. Who has the top of the line and why, proof would be good(reviews/awards etc.) Price of the products dont really matter. I dont care about best for the buck, only best. period.

thanx for the help.

Amps:

Zapco!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tru

uhh others

Decks:

Doesn't matter, eclipse and alpine are the "best" but I love my Kenwood X959

Speakers/Subs:

RE

eD

Adire Audio

Rainbow

AlumPro (only heard subs, but they sound nice)

DLS (have won many SQ comps)

I'd also through memphis and Diamond in there which have some high end stuff in each category... as for review and such?? car audio mags and review **** from what I've seen... they say some pretty crazy things about some really low end equipment.. maybe a forum member lives close by and would be willing to demo some of these brands and show him what sounds good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Also there are some great deals on lower priced amps that work great as sub amps.. ie for a sub amp I doubt I'd run a Zapco when a Power Acoustik will sound just as good and for MUCH less $ per watt

The most practical and "best" brands to carry in a place like that would probably be jl, alpine, diamond, and eclipse. They are quality brands but also pretty well known so the average consumer is going to have no problem buying them.

H/U's:

Eclipse

Alpine

Pioneer

Clarion

Speaker(s):

Boston Acoustics

lot more but i dont know much about speakers yet

Amps:

JBL

MTX

Rockford Fosgate

Alpine

JL Audio

Subs: (ones that acidicdreams didnt mention yet)

Eclipse

JL Audio

Soundsplinter

Like mentioned above my list is fairly unknown.. if you want the best chance of making the sales based on consumer bias towards brands they may have heard of or brands that will get backed up by less informed consumers sell the following (I'll forget a bunch I'm sure) for high end audio....

HU:

Just take the top two models from whatever brands you carry and throw them into the room with the good stuff... most people like Eclipse and Alpine but there are alot of Pioneer fans and I like kenwood excelon stuff

Amps:

Diamond

Zapco

Subs:

JL

Resonant Engineering (you can sight winners of SPL contests to sell these //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif)

AlumPro

Speakers:

Focal

Rainbow

DLS

If you can pull it off get memphis and Boston Acoustics in there... they both make some kick *** stuff but I'd stick to speakers on the bostons

Keep in mind the best way to sell the high end stuff is to have comparisons... through a kenwood amp into the high end room and when someone says.. bah.. amps are amps que up a good SQ song (look for pop artists with MUCHO $$$ to spend on recording) and the play a high end set of focals or Rainbows etc. Switch between a Zapco and the kenwood.. then clean the *** off the floor and sell the Zapco //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I remember the first time I heard a Zapco comparo.. it was Zapco I-force (lowest end affordable Zapco's) vs a Clarion Pro model on a pair of Focal Access speakers... the Zapco creamed the Clarion and I bought a Zapco I2100 for my g/fs car within a week (off Ebay for $91 brand new //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif hehe) ... also GET A DEMO CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and keep it around the shop!! then when someone says... in an annoying voice "My Xplods kick ***" take them out to the demo van and deafen them with memphis/Zapco/DLS combo or something like that... I heard a demo car a couple weeks ago with all memphis stuff.. they had a memphis belle (amp) powering memphis comps and a 15" memphis MOFO in 4 ported cubes... it HURT me!! ouch! SOO loud and good SQ... I almost ditched my diamond amp for a memphis amp... but then I wandered off //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif...
