Home Theater Subwoofer Enclosure

You can get 300-500w plate amps on parts express. I just picked up a 500w bash and a 12" dayton sub that I'm gonna be adding on to my computer. Have bose powered desktops that get pretty loud but have pretty much non existent low end response. This should really liven things up.

Looks good. If you have enough wire put it in the corner of the room with the sub/port facing in the corner. Kind of the same as if you have a trunk and face the subs to the rear its usually louder unless you face forward and seal off, in this case you can't seal off the room lol.

Glad you're happy with how it turned out. It's times like this when I wish I didn't live in and apartment and actually be able to do something loud for my home audio.
I wouldnt consider it loud. It would bother people above or below I imagine..... I am moving into a side-by-side I think they call it. 6 bed 6 bath, split in two. each has their own front and back door We shall have to see how loud we can play it without disturbing them. If I lower the 31hz and 62hz frequency on media players EQ it helps alot. The subwoofer level is -5 on a -10 to +10 scale. I havent turned any of that stuff up just because it doesnt need to be louder. It will start taking over my other speakers on some music. But, it does sound pretty good with music. I have yet to watch any movies. Low notes are pretty noticeable.

Its pretty heavy and I dont feel like moving it. I stay pretty busy during the day and dont like to jam at night so it rarely gets used enough to move it around. Like i said I am moving soon and probably should have left it downstairs honestly. When I had it in a smaller sealed box i had it in the corner and it was noticeably louder.

EDIT: As for the plate amp, I thought about it, but since everything is working fine I dont find it too necessary for more power to the sub. We'll see after the move how everything turns out.

Everything is moved into the new place. Hopefully Ill find time to get pics/vids of the current setup. It sounds great on games, movies, TV, and music. (Maybe ill get pick of the setup in my car too)
