What about it? When you are building a shallow driver you simply arent able to build a high xmax coil. To keep the sub deep you are also limited to the stroke you can achieve. Id say for only 2.5" deep 9.7mm isnt too bad.9.7 mm xmaxx?

Yep. You can't really have a woofer that shallow with a really high xmax. 10-12mm xmax is honestly about as much you can realistically hope for.What about it?
