right now ive got 2 jl audio 10w6v2's in a joe fox ported sub enclosure for my dodge quad cab. i am wondering if there are any other subs out there that are more spl and i could tell a difference. lmk your suggestions. would have to be with a 7" or less mounting depth

To the original poster: How is your box facing? I have found in big trucks like yours, if you downfire and load off the ground in the back if possible, you will get an increase in SPL. If your port is 3 inches wide, try firing about 3-5 inches off the floor and see if that helps....you may not even have to change your equipment to bump a bit harder....hope that helps.

you can also try giving them more power... to get louder you are most likely going to have to change amps anyways

I have a pair of atomic ap/spl 10s fresh back from recones and they are LOUD will handle 1000rms EASY very stiff and capable of 150s on the TL hints been done by myself...and the mounting depth is: 6.62
