Hmm, what should I do with my three new DD 8's?

I just acquired three DD 1008 svc 4's from CHEMMINS (thx bro, gotta grab the third but great packing and shipping) and most likely be putting all three in a ported box with one 6" aero. I have an Acura RSX hatch and probably either a SoundStream 1600d or 2500d for the three and I was thinking subs up port back or subs forward port back, plenty of space to work with for these back there too...

any suggestions on where the box size should be or any cool placement ideas for the subs? tuning frequency would be helpful too..

6" is borderline too big. For a 2.25 cube box it's 12 sq in per cube. That's a lot for aeros.

I figured 3ft^3 with the 6" aero internal to eat up some of the airspace, tuned to mid 30's like you recommended.

You'd be best off with 2.5 imo. Even the DD website suggests 0.8 cubes each with 10 sq in of port area.

At 2.5, you're at 10.8" per cube. That's perfect.

got a dd 3515 d1 for trade if ur interested. 03 model not in the greatest shape but it pounds. well just the surround doesnt look good. got a small slit but repaired and small outer cracks on the surround
