High efficiency sub suggestion

Yes. I would rather have audipipe.
I don't know about that, I try to steer clear of common pawn shop brands. Which is the only place I have seen AP around here, I don't know anything about them other than that. There again, as stated, I am only referring to PB equipment bought 5 yrs ago...and as far as I can tell, the only thing that has changed on the XL series is the dust cap design.

How long have you been installing PB? Was your problem with a certain line of PB equipment?..a specific amp?..sub? To say that every PB setup you installed blew makes me question the installer, not the equipment...and I am not being sarcastic, or flaming you...just objectively speaking.

I didn't install all of them, but the stuff blowing had nothing to do with the install. Making stuff work properly in an install usually isn't that hard, you don't understand the ragged shit I see. Some pb stuff came DOA. We had a AP 3k almost catch a car on fire being DOA too.

But, in my opinion, we are comparing a shit brand vs. another shit brand.

Not to be a dik, but a lot of pawn shops here around Nashville and Knoxville carry new powerbass product.
"I see, said the blind man"...lol..If that where the case here at the time, I am sure I would have chosen differently too...but, til something gives, I am happy with what I have....But what I do is not the issue, have you found anything that seems suitable to your needs?

Well, if I witnessed that crap, i would probably share the same view...Most folks don't get the idea what happens when their budget 3k watt amp is demanded to do what it can(maybe not clean) on what they give it to work with(which is usually nowhere near enough)...and something gives up the ghost.

single Powerbass 2XL 15D @2 ohm, 4^3@35hz/550w input

Two DCON 12 S4's @2ohm, 4^3 @ 35hz/ 550w input

single DCON S4 @4ohm, 4^3 @35hz/ 400w input

single ICON 15 D1 @ 2ohm, 4^3 @ 35hz/ 550w input

I threw in a ICON 15D1 1250w rms sub in the same environment just for funsies...there is always a trade-off to allow for being able to run 1200 watts through a sub to begin with..lol
