He could use the kicker too, its rated at 1250x1 at 4ohms

Of course it is rated at 4 ohms...

But it would be a little silly to use either amplifier at 4 ohms...

If he wants to stay with kicker amps, he could go with a zx850.2 2 channel amp. It probably does near 1000 watts bridged at 4 ohms

Parallel will take you to a 1 ohm load. Sorry...

I would go with anything that is one ohm stable. What is the RMS of those woofers? I don't remember...

i would still get the kicker and run it at 4 ohms.

it'll still probably do in the high 1000's @4, be even more efficient and clean sounding, and plus you have the benefit of reduced current from the 4 ohm load so your speakers can thermally take more abuse.

Kicker zx2500.1 - 1250-1450 @ 4 ohms

Hifonics Colossus II - 600x2 stereo @ 4 ohms, 2000x1 bridged @ 4 ohms

Sundown Saz-1000d - 1000x1 @ 1 ohm

Kicker zx850.2 - 850-1000 bridged @ 4 ohms
