Two speakers at 4 ohms wired in parallel is 2 ohms. Which is perfect for that kicker...

The SX Series doesn't have anything as powerful as the ZX2500.1. Also, what you are really paying for in the SX Series is the fancy digital display and extra DSP options which you won't ever need or use...

1 x 3200-Watts Bridged Mono @ 2-Ohms

I'm lookin' to spend about $800

I sold an xx-colossus for 525 I believe. That thing had about 3600-3800 watts, it gave plenty of power to my 4 12" L7s. If you want mad power on an underrated amp, get the xx-colossus

dont get it.. it the new ones. there not built like the final edition or the xx colossus... i'd pay the xtra cash and get the kicker :~>

I heard the colossus doesn't have any cooling fan, do they tend to overheat?

Hey Joe, which amp would you personally get?? and do you know which one produces more crisp sound?

What is the performance difference between the xx-colossus and the newer xxv-colossus?

Personally I would get the Kicker.

You don't need all of the wattage of the Hifonics and will probably just end up bottoming them out or melting the coil on your subwoofers. A lot of people have had great luck with Hifonics but people I know personally have never had good luck with them. However, I have owned Kicker amps and I have 2 good friends who have the ZX2500.1 and they are great. I would get the Kicker just on the fact of reliability and that it is very efficient. The kicker is a very tight quick amplifier and I personally think it sounds very clean.

I agree... You can only tell a little big by looking at the components...
