i would take the kicker....oh wait i have one...

3000w birthsheet @ 2 ohms = good power with excellent efficiency

with either setup you need a good electrical. spend 450 or whatever for a kicker in the classifieds , then use the rest on an HO alt from a reputable company

I think he meant that his speakers are 4 ohms...

Which means that with 2 of them in parallel he will have 2 ohms...

Yeah for SVC, l5's only come in dual 2 or dual 4 which means if they are D4's then he can go 4 or 1

The colossus can go 600 x 2 stereo @ 4 ohms, and 2000 x 1 bridged @ 4

I bought the DS12L5-4 enclosed in a vented box straight from the manufacturer. I did not touch any wiring and from the factory setting, I guess it is 4 ohms total ( 2 per speaker). Can I personally change the wiring to parallel to make it 2 ohms myself?

I don't believe so because that would make those woofers, dual 4's to end up with a final ohm load of 4 ohms.

You're right, but from the model number he posted a minute ago. It looks like he has Dual 4's...

Dual 4s he can't use the Kicker... Correct...

What the hell is the ohm for this. All it says in the manual is 2 or 4 ohms because many similar models share the same manual
