how do you like the 8500? how well do you think it would do sealed with 320 watts rms in an s 10? would i know it was there?

I like it alot, with only 100 watts going to it, it screams. I have had 2 12 inch Xplod's, 1 10 inch Solo Baric, and one 12 inch new solo baric and this outperforms them hands down. Wouldnt know about a sealed box but I know it will pound and sound da-mn good. As in an S-10, I dunno for sure, I have a regular cab S-10 and there wasnt much room to put the 10 inch solo baric and the mounting depth on this exceeds the solobaric by alot. The depth on the 8500 is rather deep. Now if you have an extended cab, You might be limited on where you put it. I imagine you would have to take a seat out in the rear

A few more times. I was just asking what else is out there to get in place of a Brutus. Also wanted to see if anyone has benchmarked these amps instead of guessing that it doesnt make the wattage just because they dont come with birthsheets

Even if they're the wrong fuses? Then can you still just glance at the fuses and think you know how much the amp can put out? They have the wrong fuses, and according to the techs, you won't blow them unless you play sine waves at full power. And if you do manage to blow them, they'll send you the correct fuses (two 80's I think).

Some people read some negative replies about the Brutus series amps, and then they feel like they know enough to go around spitting negativity like they've learned proven facts.

Just got my Brutus 1500D and my subs. Can't wait to hook it up! Man, it sounds good and LOUD, just not as loud as Tito's system. Hmmm.... Hmm...What's this? A negative thread about Hifonics amps? Hmm.... What! They don't put out their rated power (according to Member 'KNOWitALL')!! Hmmmm....That's what it was! Tito's 1500 watt system is louder than mine because my Brutus doesn't put out 1500 watts!!!

what I hate to see worse is companies showing ratings of 1500 watts, and they actually bench at 13.8v to be under or around 1000 watts..very misleading....so in order to get that 1500 watts, it may take lightning. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cop.gif.57eb2cc10a7efd04d31083ca3c30d53c.gif

I just want to see factual arguements with this. No one has proof that it puts out under its rated output power. Where are the facts and how do you know? I have searched several pages and all I hear is opinions. Maybe you all are jelous of the price and looks of the amp? Just an idea, dont get all bent out of shape. Its just a discussion

Sergey at KB Audio benched a Brutus to do around ~1150 IIRC.

The only proof I know is there rated @ 14.4 volts. Thats it. Regardless it's a great amp with plenty of power for my XXX.
