Hifonics HFi1000.10 D help!

[Burning]

I recently installed the amp. Wired up the subs as crutchfield has them Series/Parallel 4Ohm.

I am running 2 Polk Audio DXI's with the 4 Ohm Dual voice coils

All the wiring is hooked up, the ground is on the seat belt mount attached to the body of my rear seat of my mustang. Both Remote Turn on lead, and the Power wire get 12.6 Volts.

Whats wrong?:

When i turn the car on the Amp's Hifonics illuminated logo is bright then slowly dims within 10 seconds.. Neither the Protect or power light are illuminated. What is wrong with this thing?!?!

bad ground ,move it some where else

my ground is on the same ground your talking about, the paint was already removed around the bolt. mylow can you recomend a good place to ground? from what i hear you should screw in your own bolt on a thick part of the chassis and remove the paint?

any where that you can get a solid piece of metal ,down in the spare tire area is really a great area and east to get a nut and bolt on from under the car.

and op you need to move that ground 1st and if it's till doing the same then check the remote wire for voltage.has to be either power , ground , or remote wire issues.

Ground is good.. It goes through Solid metal. And the Power and Remote are both reading 12.6.. My dad says its probably a defective amp.

I mean ive already eliminated (power,ground,remote....) What else is there? all my friends have hifonics or soundstreams... and they love them..

Im just gonna call the place i bought it from and either ask for an upgrade with me paying or a replacement.
