Hi im a newbie

Im getting a new car and I have about $1000 CAN, to spend on a car system. it would be great if you guys could give me some suggestions.

I want to get a nice deck, one that reads mp3 and cdrw with those nice screens that flip out.

and I only plan to hook up the subs to an amp, i dont think i will be getting an amp for the speakers. unless the speakers on my rsx premium really doesnt cut it.

I was thinking a pair for 10' will be good, but they may be out of my budget.

i was wondering if i could hook up a pair for subs to a 2 channel amp? because in the future i could tri way crossover the 2 channel amp if i need to. otherwise i'd get a mono channel amp.

so in conclusion.

can you guys suggest a deck, subs, and amp. i can settle for used subs/amps

lol nice help there James, haha, well I cant do much better, but my so so girlfriend just bought one and I will be dealing with that mess soon

well premium doesnt come with the boss system, its just the standard acura sound system. and all im really swapping out is the head unit. not looking to change speakers.

I've got a RSX-S and being that you have the base model, it's definitely easier to swap things out piece by piece. I went ahead and swapped everything out in my car just because it was easier. Anyhow, here's a great link/forum for you to ask your questions on where it's just RSX owners who have put in a ton of work.
