Hey Looking for some help

I installed an amp, sub, and an Audiocontrol LC2i line converter as he kept his factory deck. It worked great for a couple of months now. This past weekend he was away and left his car sitting and when he returned his car was dead. He boosted it and took it to me and I noticed when the car was off the amp was remaining on.

I checked to see if there were any wire frays touch each other and it was clean. I unhooked the line converter and ran a new remote wire from under the dash to the amp to see if it was an issue with the converter and I was still getting the same problem. He has an older amp that I'm going to hook up to see if I get the same results but till then I thought I would post here and see what people here could also suggest the problem might be. If you need more info just post and I'll try to answer them. Thanks in advance!

what do you have the remote wire hooked up to?
It runs from the line converter as per the instructions. When I ran the remote wire I used for the test I just used an empty spot in the under dash fuse block that had 12v when the car was on.
