Hey whats up everyone, I have a Directed Audio 1500d amp. Its a mono amp designed to power or 1 or 2 ohm sub but can also work at 4 ohm.

1ohm= 1100 watts rms

2ohm= 800 watts rms

4ohm= 425 watts rms

it also has:

High speed MOSFET switching power supply

High current, high efficiency MOSFET outputs

Switchable 8 dB bass EQ

180° phase invert switch

Remote subwoofer level control function

Thermal, DC offset, reverse polarity, short circuit, over/under voltage and status led protection

Right now im confused on which type of sub i should get. Im not into comp but still want something that will bump nicely, so im very open to suggestions thanks!

Give the forum people an idea of what you have to spend and how much space you have to give up. What vehicle is it going in? What do you listen to the most? Answering these questions will assist the folks that can help you. You'll get alot of different subwoofer recommendations, as each has their own favorite. So be ready for a flood of suggestions.

I have a dodge dakota ext. cab 2001 i listen to a little bit of everything mainly rock and rap though, and spending is still up in the air nothing more than $225

I would not recommend ANY of them to my worst enemy. That will be the general consensus you'll receive here, just to answer that for you in advance. Keep searching and we'll give you a thumbs up or thumbs down based on our opinions or experience with the products.

hmm ok well like i said please give me some suggestions beacuse obviously im new at this and i was looking at those sub beacuse at that price they looked pretty nice.

well its only a mono amp so it could only support one type 12 right? and at 4 ohms only pushing out 425 watts wouldnt be enough for this sub would it?
you use the same mono channel for all of your subs since bass is non-directional it doesn't need to be in stereo.... so if you get 2x type R's you'd be fine... also you have to make sure you get the right voice coil config, but I don't feel like explaining it... look that up...

with your amp you have lots of possibilities... look around the used section as well.. there are bound to be some cheap super subs in there.
