Hey Christians

Of course. You should be in hell for all eternity. God is great!
I guess I will be going to hell then. I don't think I am ever going to believe in god, but that doesn't mean im going to be the most horrible person ever. I will still continue to live my life in a giving way. In my life I will believe what I want, not believe what I want, do what I want whenever I want, as long as whatever I do in my life does not physically harm or emotionally harm someone else thats all that matters.

Pretty much I wouldn't want to believe in a god that "forces" me to believe in him before I die, even though I have been a truly good person throughout my lifetime. I think me being a good person throughout my life should enable me to go to "heaven' if their is indeed a heaven to go to.

So a good person wont go to heaven if he does not believe in god, and a bad person will go to heaven if he has committed many many sins, but asks for forgiveness? Just doesnt make sense to me.

This is why babies and children have a free pass.
You do realize not all Christians believe this, and had not believed it throughout most of history, correct?

This is why when a child was thought they were not going to make it, nurses would baptize the child right there on the spot and without the parents consent (or even knowledge in most cases). If the child then lived and were not raised Christian but were known to have been baptized the Church could then come take the child to give them a "proper" upbringing.

Yeah, good times.

Miss the old days.

Correct, you have been given the chance to follow God, and you have "turned your back" so to speak. By not following believing in God you have told him that he is not good enough for you, that him sacrificing his son for you was not enough.
Okay I understand. In my opinion I think that is pretty stupid, because "he" is putting WORDS in my **** mouth.

God doesn't force anyone to believe in him. You are a prime example of someone who has exercised the fact that you have a choice to believe in him or not.

One of my favourite things about god is the way that you can define him however you see fit.

In my opinion, the most perfect being values inquisitive thinking above blind faith. Now prove that one wrong....

Its like I could be a really good person and not believe in god, and witness a drug dealer about to murder a kid, and I try and save the kid and end up losing my life and I go to hell because I did not believe in god, that theory just doesnt sit with me well.

A god as jealous and egotistical as the Christian god, who denounces reason and requires blind faith, if he does exist, is not a god I would want to worship.

If people are doing good things for an invisible man in the sky (especially when man is interpreting what is good), it is very different from doing good things for the people who need it just because they need help. Surely you understand the difference?
if the end result it the same, and you take God out of the mix. the reason for the act doesn't matter at all, the only thing to measure is the result.

Surely you understand that!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

But that's where you're wrong.

Yes, the result is the most important part.

But when the mechanism to get there relies on man-made fallacy, you are opening yourself up to a lot of risk. Now, instead of helping a person in god's name, you're stoning a person to death in god's name. Whereas helping a person for the sake of helping them can never be misconstrued. It's a bit of a slippery slope.
