Here's what I wanna put in my car, opinions needed!

I just wanna put a CD deck in and replace the speakers that are in there now, then maybe put 2 subs and an amp in the back.

Do I really need all that other crap, and tweeters?

Nah you dont need it. We are just trying to get you the best bang for your buck but do you need all that stuff?

nope. you really dont even need an amp for your 6.5s and 6x9s though they will be stronger and maybe a little sharper(depends on the amp of course)

All you really need is a decent mono block to run your subs and run the other off the radio. It will still sound pretty good and so long as you dont buy a huge sub amp then your sub will drown out the highs and then you will need a amp for those 6.5s and 6x9s

try a jbl 600.1 or even the 200 to 250 watt MTX

put the speakers in a ported enclosure and call it good man

that would save ya 300 bucks on the 4 ch amp + install!

you dont sound dumb...you sound new....there is a huge difference....we were all there at one time or another....you unlike most of us have decided to try to learn some of the basics before just jumping into it....which is comendable....good luck

hmm depending on what you spent the most money for 6.5s or 6x9s would depend on which i hooked up to the amp (if you have the 6.5s in a kick panel type enclosure in the door ***speaker is aimed up at the driver/passenger***)

if this is the case buy better 6.5s for 200 or what ever and 120 dollar 6x9s

hook the amp to the 6.5s so you have the highs right in your face.

then hook the 3/4 channel bridged to the amp.

Here is a good amp for that btw Memphis 300.4 for about 250 to 280 (its underrated a little) or go with the RFosgate 700.4 for 300

in general you will pay more for a 4 ch amp than for a 2 ch or a mono block when they are all of the same wattage and brand.
