Alright, I'm fairly new to this car audio stuff, but here's all the components that I'm thinkin about putting in my car:

your obvisously really new to car audio, you need some amps to power the speakers, some tweeters, and a good box

Alright, you've got the first thing you need - a desire to improve your current stereo system in your car.

May I make a recommendation though for getting the proper equipment or best

recommendations from the user's of this board.

I would recommend giving a total amount of money you want to spend on

component speakers, subwoofers, and amplifiers. Also if you are more of

a SQ (sound quality) person or an SPL (loudness) person. The kind of car

you have is also helpful

Based of my previous expierence this should get ya some good responses

about what the "best bang for your buck" equipment is going to be.

I would drop the KFC 6x9s and go with bostons RX or FX series

RX is the same price and FX is about 60 bucks cheaper.

I am running the FX just off my kenwood excelron 717 18 to 22w rms and they sound real nice. I am probably dropping a RF 550x or a 500x on them.

I would avoid that kenwood amp as well. Its a middle of the road amp for a not so middle of the road price.

If your strapped for cash and need a cheap but quality amp....

I would try searching for the JBL loud series or even the crunch blackmaxx or vdrive amps. US amps has a nice 4 channel that would drive the 6s and the 6x9s real nice for about the same price as that kenwood.

those subs are ok but could do better for the same money.

give me a few min and I will put some links up for some decent equipment

though honestly what you have isnt real bad... just need more amp power

First off lets deal with those subs.

If you like those pioneer he has the same subs (15" duel coil 4 ohm) for 100 each.

so right there thats 118 bucks saved (get a custom made box with that money for about 80 bucks)

personally i recommend going with Infinity Perfects 12s or Rockford Fosgate 15s for about the same price as "CRUTCH"field pioneers......

Kenwood MP7019 retails for 389 or so. also at IKESOUND but for 249.00

Bingo thats 3 preouts with subwoofer control and you get to keep you fade to back if you get a 4 channel amp and a sub amp!!!

total so far. 250+350(fosgatesubs)= 600

ok on to the speakers 6.5s go infinity kappas or reference components or go with the kenwoods like you were at crutchfield but at ike they are 57 bucks a pair.

6x9s Those woods are nice but go out to the local tweeter store and buy some RX series bostons or go on ebay and get a pair of diamond audio/mb quartz/bostons

make sure you order from someone with over 1k feedback just to be safe. (this takes 2 weeks at least when you order from ebay. But you can get stuff even cheaper than you can at IKE's

amps... up to you go with a decent brand and if you dont know one then just ask someone will let ya know.

I would use a 4 channel w/ at least 50 rms to 70 rms per channel at 4 ohms

for the subs I would use a JBL 600.1 or something similar putting out at least 300 rms to 400 rms

I wont ramble on any more but you get my point.

They are all reputable company's that wont charge you nearly as much as old Crutchfield *great reference site bad prices...*

I would go with that Kenwood MP7019 for 250 ish and go with components in the front

that way you get a good sound stage set up from the 6.5s

the kenwood should give you 20rms so that should be enough until you can find an amp that is right for your budget.

Well, I don't wanna spend over 300 on the CD deck, no more than 100 for the 6.5"s, 200 for the 6"x9"s, 200 for the amp, and I dunno about the subs.

Infinity Kappa 62.2 (two way with pivot tweeter) 84.00

Alpine V12 fr200 40rms x 4 online for about 129.00

or

Alpine 307 (same stats but digital x over) 189.00

or since you saved some money on the HU and Speakers go with the

Rockford Fosgate 600.4 270 to 310 online

Subs for clear sound quality go with infinity perfects 12.1s about 155 each

for boom go with the fosgate 15s for about 160 each (same as those pioneer)

if you want to save money on subs and still get boom and half way decent SQ

go with MTX for about 90 to 110 each for 12s

and get a good mtx 300 rms mono block for about 200

or a jbl 600.1 for 240

total system cost with mtx subs and amp = 1132

doing a self install?

if not plan for 300 bucks with kits and all

self install about 80 bucks if you order the install stuff online

Kappa's are a **** good speaker but the Diamond's are a good bit better although usually you can get a pair of kappa's for 40 bucks cheaper and not loose to much.

Personally if he really wants to spend 200 i would go with some boston pro series or the up level version of those diamonds

Just my 2c

but for cheap quality speakers those kappas are hard to beat
