Well since i have been reading on here I've learned quite a bit, and tried to pass it on to my friends.
Well my one buddy is lookin to hook up some new 15''s in his trunk, and was originally going for two type r's.
Original plan was to put two of those in there powered by a Powerbass 1500d. I told him that it was an ok plan, but sure wouldnt push the Alpines all the way but they will sound ok doing it.
Well we go to the trade center around here (yeah yeah, places u find pyle an stuff), but since I kind of know what brands are trustworthy now I don't worry too much. We stop at this one shop, who

B: Told him that if he spent the money now, or did lay away they'd hook him up "phat"
C: Tried pushing two Powerbass 15 XXXL on him, with a powerbass 3000 amp.
I told him that would be an ok set up if he had the electrical system for it an stuff, and that my current alternator can barely keep up w/ the 1000w rms i push.
Well i got into it w/ the guy over adding batteries in the back, an i told my buddy that if he just throws batteries in the back with that type of power being sucked from his STOCK alternator *(i did tell him he could do it after upgrading electrical system) that the batteries wouldnt b continually charged and eventually just sucked down by the amp trying to produce enough power for those subs.
So basically I was just wondering if steering him away from this set up was the right thing, he still seems set on trying to do all that power w/ a completely stock electrical system (cept throwing batteries in the trunk that guy was tryin to push on him).
An I told that F****** idiot that kicker amps are rated @ 2ohms, and are underrated so they dont ****, an that he just couldnt afford ne thing like that.
I was frustrated by this salesman who told me about all his "experience" lol which i do lack myself, but from reading ur guy's opinions and stuff was I more right?
