Help with wiring?

If you're replacing the head unit, they will go to the new one. I doubt you have two decks. But if u do, do some research before u start pulling stuff.

So if I do replace the head unit I dont gotta trip about the read deck if there is one? because i thought i remember hearing about how i have to wire it to the rear speakers or sum shiznit

I'm not sure what u are meaning. Normally you connect to the rear speakers when u add a sub without changing the head unit out. You need to figure out this whole rear deck thing before you start any work though.

Alright Ill try but im still hekka confused...Does that mean if I get a new Deck I dont have to wire to the rear speakers? Im just sooo confused //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif #Confused

Definitely adding subbs but if theres a different way to connect an ipod without a headunit then problly just the subs... if there was another deck or whatever couldnt i just wire the rcas to the front and the remote in the glvoebox?

That's probably where you heard to connect at the rear deck. Without changing the hu you have to splice a line output converter to the rear speakers for the input to the amp. To add an ipod hookup, the best way is to change the hu. But there are adapters to hardwire it to the antenna input.

That is if you have an aftermarket head unit. A stock one won't have the rca outputs.I found the thread where u talked to him. He was referring to what I was talking about. If u have a stock hu, u have tosplice a local from the rear speakers to get a signal to the amp. That's why he said to wire the remote wire to the fuse box too. A stock head unit doesn't have a remote wire.

The speaker wires will run to the front as long as it isn't a factory amplified setup. The harness for your car will connect to the hu and connect your speakers. Hook the rca to the hu and connect the remote wire to the hu remote wire. That gets your signal and remote wire to your amp. Then just wire your power and ground for the amp. You won't have to hook the amp to the rear speakers.

Dam so i went into bestbuy and they were talkin about an amp install kit which is 20 bucks and hella other **** that i might need to get it done.... is there an easy way to do this without spending loads of cash for all the kits and whatnot
