help with wiring an amp please

hey guys

i just bought a kenwood kdc-mp239 head unit and i have installed it on - it comes on when acc is on and sound comes out of the splits that i have wired

now when i tried to install the amp it doesnt seem to turn on - but there is power going to it (have tested with those power testing pens)

my question is where does the rem cord (solid blue cable) from the amp go to, to the head unit

does it have to be attached to the ignition wire?

ive attached the wiring diagram of my HU

really appreciate the help guys

remote wire will be connected to the blue/white wire

ok so if that is connected then.. and the power led is not on, on the amp - what could be wrong?

fuses blown, check the fuse under the hood. if it is getting power to the remote lead then it would either be youw power wire, or ground

sorry i ment to say that the power lead is getting power all the way up to the amp - i have checked this with a power pen (the ones that u put on to check current)

and the ground is bolted on to the chassis

would there be any settings in the head unit to fire up the amp?

Well check your fuses on your amp then.

well the 2 fuses are external on the amp and they seem to be intacted

they should always be instact, make sure there not blown. if they are good and your power and ground are good, then its your remote wire

the remote fires the amp doesn it?
