recently bought 2 alpine subs 3000w max and i have a 2 channel 6000w amp..lanzarso prollly not even actualy 6000w..anyways was wanting to know what wiring i need? what gauge? how much it will cost? do i need capacitor? etc?
try to buy stuff based on RMS ratings not peak power ratings for a start. Brands like Lanzar, boss, pyramid, pyle, power accoustik really likes using fake bloated numbers to sell to car audio newbies looking for the biggest number possible. The sad truth is the performance is not there at all.
Edit:
This might be the amp your talking about

The amp will work with your subs even if its only tickling them. If you want to get loud, see if you can return the amp and get something along the lines of
Precision Power PPI BK1800.1D Black Ice 1800W Monoblock Class-D Amplifier This amp would do a solid 2000 RMS which is perfect for type Rs. You'll need 0 gauge wire for this amp since its a lot more powerful and requires thicker gauge wire.
