Help with sub selection

I got a 07 Silverado crew cab (new body style) and am going to put a little sub in it. I will be leaving the factory head unit in, and running a line out converter. I already have an amp. Its a Rockford Fosgate P300 mono amp and will be wired to a 2 ohm load for 300watts. I am not wanting to spend alot, but also want something decent (go figure). Here is what I am thinking about, please let me know what you think or maybe even a different selection. (Just a single sub setup for under the back seat)

Rockford Fosgate 10" P3 shallow

Alpine 10" type S

Tryin to keep somewhat a shallow sub design, but at the same time I do listen rock and hip hop and want it to be able to handle some of the low notes. Thanks

I think u should upgrade to atleast 500-600 Watts and run a beefy 8 then a cheap 10

It seems alot of ppl like Sundown, I myself don't have any xp with them. I've usually gone w Kicker Solos and have been real satisfied for the best bang for your buck. The more I read on forums, it seems alot ppl don't really care for Kicker products and some of the other major name brands. I guess maybe these brands are more for the average consumer? I looked at the SA8 and it looks pretty good and should be able to fit w/no problem. Do you think being an 8", it would still be able to put out some of the low notes at a louder volume? I was also looking at the SA10, but not sure it will fit under the seat. Eventually I will get a 5 channel amp, looking at Alpine PDX5 5channel amp, so I can upgrade my door speakers.

i used one for about a month and it was a little monster but i hear nothing but great things about the True Bass Ultra 8

get a single 4 ohm jl w1v2

great sounding sub and you can get it for cheap
