Help with sub selection please.

OK due to space reasons I am changing my sub set up. I am going with 2 10" subs. Well I don't really want to spend a whole lot and im looking for SQ. Lets say 150 dollars max. So, lets say an easy sealed box set up. I have about 12"H x 18"D x 32"W. I have 450watts @2ohm for power so either a dual 2ohm VC set up or single 4ohm VC set up. Anyways, Crutchfield has the 2 for 1 deal going on for kicker and infinity subs so.. I could go with the Kicker CompVR or Infinity Perfect 10.1 and stay in my budget. Plus Crutchfield has that great customer service along with free shipping. Only other thing I can think is 10" Assassins but I am not sure how they rate against the subs above.

Go with a single 12 and be a man and port it but tune it very low like 28 hz and you will have as much output as two tens sealed.

I dont think having space issues has anything to do with being a man.. 2nd of all I already have a single 12"... 3rd that wasnt my question. Read the question again and try to answer accordingly .. thank you.

You have the space for one 12 ported, 3.05 cubes to be exact with the measurements you gave us and the average 12 ported will need 2 cubes to 2.5 net which can be done. Ported subs have a good deal more output than sealed subs so in the end they can take up less space than two sealed of the same size. Smaller subs do not have better SQ or quickness and low tuned ported boxes can sound great, so with the low amount of money you have to work with this is a pretty good option that will yield very good results. Two tens will work fine but you will end up going with a lesser sub since you will have to fork out money for two.
